Lodging and Dining

We enjoy riding remote roads. Remote roads lead to small towns were there might be only one lodging/dining option. We won’t stay in a town where the lodging is totally unacceptable – but we do have several overnights where we are at the only place in town, such as the nicely remodeled 50’s style motel in Saguache.

Our goal is to give you a good experience at a reasonable price. As nice as double sheets and turn down service with mints on pillows are – we don’t pick those hotels. In the towns large enough to have lodging choices we search out medium priced, clean, convenient lodging.

For dining we have the same philosophy. Cyclists are hungry! Good food and plenty of it is our goal. Occasionally we are happy the only restaurant in town is open the night we are there. Some towns are like that. We’ve never dined anywhere that Colorado Casual dress wasn’t acceptable. A button down shirt is considered fancy by our vacation standards.

Relax, kick back and enjoy your time off! We won’t tell if you forget to shave. It’s your vacation.
